I’ve been a LibDem for what seems a very long time – just over ten years ago I plucked up the courage and went to a meeting to see what it was really all about and how I could try and help. I was worried about ever increasing racism in our area.
Over the last decade, I’ve been Treasurer and Chair, stood for Old Warley at each local election and indeed for the last two general elections, I’ve been the candidate for the Warley constituency. It’s been an interesting experience, but it’s now time for me to step aside and let another generation take over. I wish them well, and hope that one day, Sandwell will become a beacon of LibDem values.
